The Municipal Landfill is generally accessible by request only.  During business hours, contact Public works at 336-3649 for more information.  

LANDFILL Open the Last Saturday of Each Month - Domestic Garbage

• The Landfill site is open on the LAST Saturday of every month for DOMESTIC Garbage only!
• White Goods and/or Furniture will be billed accordingly.
• Landfill Hours for the last Saturday of each month are as follows:

8:00am – 10:00am        10:20am – 12:00pm

1:00pm – 3:00pm           3:20 pm – 4:30pm

BUILDING MATERIALS & GENERAL WASTE

          ½ Ton Truck Load (2 cyc)                                           $50.00

 CONTAMINATED MATERIALS (must have prior written approval by The Town of Moosonee & MOE)

WHITE GOODS -- ALL fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers and ovens must have doors              

   removed and where applicable, Freon removed and tagged.

            Freezers (Freon removed and tagged)                       $35.00

            Fridges and Freezers that are not tagged will not be accepted at the Landfill.

TIRES and SCRAP CARS

            Heavy Equipment Tires                                                $30.00 each

            Scrap Cars or other large scrap                                  $100.00 per vehicle or item

              * Scrap cars or other large scrap must have all fluids removed and properly disposed.

 NOTE:  Landfill Tipping Fees on Tuesdays and Thursdays have an additional Fee of $35.00 per trip, plus fees associated with items disposed as above.
